Enjoy your summer break! And don't forget to read!

Check out my latest Momscharlotte.com picture book review.

Info on my next Nana's Favorite Things book signing is now available on my website!

Read more about #nanasfavthings, here. A brief synopsis is below.

Sasha loves to shoot hoops and ride her bike. Those are her favorite things to do. But she also enjoys her Nana’s yummy treats. One day, Sasha learns her Nana has diabetes and can no longer eat the tasty snacks they have baked together over the years. With quick thinking, Sasha comes up with a clever plan to help her Nana become more active and healthy. Before long, Sasha and Nana realize they both have some new favorite things.

Until next time, don't forget the YAP motto ... "Anything is possible, as long as you believe!"

OMG! Who is that knocking at my front door? Could it be ... spring?
If you live in North Carolina it is. My iPhone's current temperature reading is 81 degrees.
Guess Punxsutawney was correct this year.
With March being Women's History Month, here is a list of my favorite female-inspired picture books for you to enjoy:
Sonia Sotomayor
My Name Is Not Isabella
Hillary Rodham Clinton
The Story of Ruby Bridges
Sewing Stories

Hello YAPers! We are rapidly moving into 2016. Lots of great things on the horizon, so stay tuned for updates.
I am eagerly awaiting information on a possible collaboration with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library. It's been a few years since I've held an event at one of the branches and would love to get folks writing creatively with another workshop.
